Meet Tom

Tom Kelly is a seasoned financial executive with extensive experience in the architecture and engineering (AE) industry. Since October 2015, he has served as the Chief Operating Officer and Principal at AE CFO Solutions, a financial consulting firm dedicated to assisting AE companies in achieving their growth and profitability objectives by providing proven solutions to complex financial and administrative issues. ​

Before his current role, Tom was the Chief Financial Officer at Humphreys & Partners Architects from June 2014 to August 2015, where he was responsible for overseeing the company's financial operations. Before that, he served as the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager at Kleinfelder from January 2014 to June 2014, leading the development and implementation of a new annual operating plan process during integration and system conversion.​

Tom's earlier career includes significant roles at Jacobs Engineering, where he was Finance Director & Project Controls from October 2007 to January 2014, playing a major role in due diligence and post-sale integration activities. At Carter & Burgess, he served as Vice President of Financial Planning, Analysis, Reporting & Real Estate from October 1999 to October 2007, providing analysis and reporting for key metrics driving profitability and cash flow. His experience includes positions at Scotsman Industries as Controller for the Booth/Crystal Tips Division and at Cummins Inc. as Vice President of Finance & Administration for the CCIS division.​

Tom holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Indiana University Bloomington. His career reflects a commitment to enhancing financial operations and strategic growth within the AE industry.
